The 5 courses of Exploring Islam textbooks include an introductory chapter of the history of the Quran followed by 38 chapters (suwar) of the Quran {Surat Alfatiha and all 37 suwar of the 30th part (Juzu’) of the Quran, also called Juzu’ Amma}.  X
The suwar are presented in its Arabic text alongside translation of the meaning of the verses in simplified English suitable for children of elementary level education.  Surat Alfatiha سورة الفاتحة is presented here as an example of the Arabic and English translation used.  Each chapter is accompanied by explanation of content of sura through stories to convey the various meanings within each sura.

 بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
 In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

    All praise to God, the Lord of the worlds  الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ   
    The Compassionate, the Merciful  الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ   
    Master of the day of judgment  مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ   
    You alone we worship and you alone we depend upon  إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ   
    Guide us to the right way  اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ   
    The path of those whom You have favored, not those who you are angry with or those who are astray  صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ
